Hands down the most amazing museum ive ever been to! The exhibits were extremely well curated and interactive. I literally cried in some parts from the intensity but soo worth it! It is something every AMERICAN should visit and honor! Makes me gratefull for our past and the Honorable people that served our country! Do Not SKIP this!!! It is a must go and see when in town!

Very serious and highly detailed historical museum. Many buildings, it could take days to go through. Started with a Univ of New Orleans professor and Eisenhower, who grew a collection of items over nearly 40 years before opening in 2000, then continued to grow since. It's amazing. If history is your thing, just join the museum as a member and go back for several days in a row.

The National WWII Museum deserves to be seen and the history absorbed in a slow and determined manner. There is so much to experience and the displays were thoughtfully created to enhance the visitors self-guided tour. I highly recommend a two-day ticket as the museum hours are 9a-5p and there are seven interconnected buildings in a six acre campus. So know ahead of time that you want to spend extra time here to enhance your knowledge of WWII and fill in various portions of stories shared by elderly family members. Thank you for creating an amazing display of military history for others to absorb and learn about in addition to books.

A great insight into World War II with interactive displays, in depth insight to history, artifacts, and video displays that absolute should be watched (specifically the interviews on the liberation from concentration camps). Be ready for a emotionally impactful experience. Can be done in a day but if you want to go deep, play for two days.

We were here 10 years ago and only got half way thru so came back to finish it. Always worth the trip. Great for teens and older. Makes you proud to be an American! Very very helpful volunteers stationed all over and they want you to ask for help. They love being there to help. Use rta bus route 11 drops you off at the door. Return trip is tricky because magazine is a one way street. Also green trolly let's you off about 2 blocks away.
